That Lucky Old Sun. . .

Posted by
Richard (Ellemford, United Kingdom) on 18 February 2013 in Landscape & Rural.

It's Monday and I'm heading South, again, on a train. In the ten minutes I've been on here I have seen hundreds of photo ops. Reminds me I need to start getting up earlier and get out there with the camera.

This was pulling out of Berwick Upon Tweed station this morning at 7.06

Mostly I write books and other things that people pay me for. What I'd like to do is to take more photographs. Ideally I'd like to try combining the two at some point in the future. . .

Look like one of those days when you could be too busy with the camera to go to work, if only !

So that's what sunrise looked like this morning. I'm impressed that you can take a picture from the train and then manage to upload it to AM3 from the phone!

Ain't it odd...there are some days that no matter how many times you've done something, photo opps suddenly pop out like snipers in urban warfare(Odd analogy, but that's what popped into my mind), today is obviously one of them . Carpe Diem!

Normally, I am in a similar situation each day at sunrise: Captive in a moving vehicle at arguably the most gorgeous time of the day. In my case, the vehicle is one that I must also "drive," which increases that level of frustration when faced with these beautiful moments. I cannot count the number of times that I have asked myself "why the hell am I driiving this blasted car, going to work, instead of just saying to hell with it all?!" I do not have an answer other than "I Like to eat " so here I am. The true joy that I get is from friends like you, who supply me with a smile, a "wow," a laugh, a tear.... all in the form of beautiful prose and gorgeous and fantastic images. Having your work as a daily dose is the best cure I can think of for the "Frustration Blues"....Hugs and Many, Many Thanks sir!

@Denny Jump Photo: If only it were daily! Denny, you are one of the few people I know who this will blow away. I write this not 50 yards from the Cavern Club, yeah, yeah, yeah. I am in Liverpool, that close to the place where it all began!

Train photos are always fascinating, the scenery goes by so fast. The morning sunrise is very
beautiful here, and gives the impression it is still being painted !~

I hate seeing a photo op with no camera, I carry my camera about just about all the time, i never use it, the one time i need it, i forget it.

I like the motion feel, as if travelling & dreaming, in the same time.
