After three days in London I got home on Saturday afternoon and we then hot-footed it to Edinburgh for dinner on Saturday evening. The table was a little like the one in my previous photo which resulted in 'sore head Sunday'. It was helped by a walk around what must be Britain's most beautiful city, camera in hand.
This scene is in Charlotte Square, part of Edinburgh's Georgian 'New Town' designed by Robert Adam in 1751 and now a World Heritage Site. The equestrian statue is Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert that was unveiled in 1876 by the Queen. The dome behind it is the former St George's Church, built in 18111 to Adam's plan; it is now West Register House which is the home of the National Archives of Scotland
Mostly I write books and other things that people pay me for. What I'd like to do is to take more photographs. Ideally I'd like to try combining the two at some point in the future. . .
